Before founding Pan African Visions, Ajong worked with various newspapers in Cameroon and managed a parliamentary office, further broadening his grounding in governance and public affairs. His writing has also appeared in several international publications, where he has contributed in-depth Africa-focused reporting and analysis. Ajong’s commitment to governance and accountability is reflected in his service as a Reviewer for the Africa Integrity Indicators (Global Integrity), where he assessed countries including Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Algeria, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Egypt, Chad, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (2013–2014). He has also served multiple times as a Mandela Washington Fellowship Reader (2016, 2017, 2019, 2023, 2024) and was a Judge for the 2021 African Business Heroes Prize Competition, the flagship philanthropic program of the Jack Ma Foundation celebrating outstanding African entrepreneurship. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Law from universities in Cameroon and a Master’s Degree in Mass Communication from Virginia Commonwealth University in the United States.
