Hospital In A Box (HIAB) is a portable, all-in-one medical solution designed to deliver high-quality healthcare in various settings, particularly remote, underserved, and disaster-stricken areas. It integrates multiple advanced medical devices into a compact system that weighs under 50 pounds, making it easily transportable.
Key Features
Portability and Design: The system is compact and lightweight (under 50 pounds) and features a rugged design for easy transport, setup, and takedown. Multi-Functionality: HIAB includes devices for monitoring vitals (BP, pulse, temp), lung function testing, ear and eye examinations, imaging (ultrasound), and basic lab work. Connectivity: It is equipped for telemedicine consultations and can transfer data via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cellular networks. It also supports electronic medical record (EMR) integration. Power: The unit has a rechargeable battery that provides up to 8 hours of operation and includes AC/DC power options for versatility.
Applications and Benefits
Rural and Remote Healthcare: HIAB is ideal for remote clinics and mobile health units, increasing access to care, improving health outcomes, and reducing healthcare disparities in underserved communities. Disaster Response: Its rapid deployment capability, self-sufficiency with a rechargeable battery, and comprehensive care features make it suitable for use in natural disasters, conflict zones, and pandemic responses.
Medical Education: The system serves as a unique learning tool for medical students and residents, offering hands-on experience through simulation-based learning, remote learning opportunities, and exposure to diverse clinical scenarios.
HIAB aims to revolutionize healthcare delivery by providing a cost-effective, comprehensive, and mobile medical solution. Its target audience includes HBCU Medical Schools and affiliated institutions in Africa and the United States, with package options including sales, leasing, and maintenance frameworks.
