WORKSHOP #1 Angola HBCU Foundation Building

Location: African Union Mission to the United Nations—Nelson Mandela Conference Room (305 E 47th Street, New York, NY , 10017)
Cohort 1 is the first of three groups participating in the Angola Pan-Africa Academic Diplomacy & HBCU Training Workshops. These workshops are part of the 'President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço Higher Education, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation Program' and represent a collaboration between Angola, the African Union, and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
Workshop Details
Date: The first workshop for Cohort 1 is scheduled for December 19, 2025 Participants: The cohort will consist of 33 representatives from 101 participating HBCU colleges and universities.
Venue: The workshop will be held at the African Union Mission to the UN, in the Nelson Mandela Conference Room in New York City ( 2 coffee breaks, lunch and a networking dinner reception are included).
Objective: The workshop aims to validate the feasibility of partnerships, lay the groundwork for scholarships and the creation of satellite campuses, and prepare for the 2026 Pan Africa Higher Education Conference in Luanda, Angola.
